The BWHR Mentorship Programme is a free, high-impact professional development experience designed to empower ethnic-heritage HR and EDI professionals around the world. Every year, we connect emerging and established HR talent with senior leaders who provide guidance, insight, and long-term career support.
Our community spans the UK, West Africa, the USA, Australia, Canada, and the Caribbean region.
Whether you’re building your HR foundation or advancing towards executive leadership, this programme provides the structure, access, and connection you need to grow.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Open to HR professionals of all backgrounds, levels, and identities. Allies are welcome as mentors, but you have to invest in an ethnic heritage professional in HR.
Ethnic minority professionals working in HR or EDI, at any stage of their career.
We match mentor–mentee pairs using several criteria, including experience level, career interests, and development goals. Example matching: HR Advisor → HR Business Partner/ Associate.
This programme accommodates multiple time zones, enabling global participation.
If you have previously submitted interest on our website, please register again to secure your place for Cohort 7.
All selected participants complete a structured matching process.
- Virtual onboarding session
- An in-person check-in for UK participants (London) featuring industry guest speakers. Date: April 2026 (TBC during matching)
Programme Duration: 3 months, commencing March 2026
Not all applicants will be placed in this cohort. Those not selected will be prioritised for the next round later in the year.
